Her birthplace was Santa Monica, California on 26 November, 1986. The singer is the child of father Vincenzo Barba, and mother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was 6 years old. For her schooling, she completed her studies at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. She then attended Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. In addition, she was a player on the violin since the age 4, and was also known as the Violin Lady. Because of her talent her performance, she received the name of Violin Girl. She also taught the violin to the neighborhood children. She also sang Free beginning in 1976 during her audition to America Idol's 6th season when she was age 19. But she was ejected from the show after achieving the 16th spot. The singer has performed on several tracks such as 2009's "The Christmas song' and 2010's Out for Blood. She's also been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as other TV shows.
