Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd later went on to take down three opponents in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents had been defeated in the first few minutes. Then she returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were damaged. Ladd recovered from the loss by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in one round with a TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill as she was able to stop her third round by TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina, and ground-and - hit her for an TKO victory in the 2nd round. In her next fight, she beat Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd took on Evinger with a punch during the first round and was awarded the Performance of the Night bonus. Her first major fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking the streak of winning. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
